10.3.11 – Chrysler Group LLC is reporting an increase in Jeep Brand Vehicle Sales of 24 percent for September 2011. The Jeep Wrangler led the way, but the increase was also bolstered by a whopping 306% increase in Jeep Compass sales and a 78% increase in Grand Cherokee sales. These increase can be attributed to the 2012 redesign for the 2012 Grand Cherokee and the new Trail Rated 4×4 capability of the new Compass. Chrysler is showing a 27% increase across the board for all it’s vehicle lines (Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Chrysler). Great news for Jeep lovers.

An awesome way to protect your Jeep’s cargo area, these heavy duty trays are a must for anyone who lives in a Winter Weather Climate and enjoys an outdoors lifestyle. Having a hard time getting a hold of Vent Visors for your Jeep? Mopar is currently in the middle of a re-design after having problems with their “stick-on” style. Apparently, there were some issues with the deflectors coming off at inopportune moments. We have a solution for you while the ventvisors from your dealer are on backorder; In-Channel Air Deflectors by Weathertech. These high-quality window visors attach in the window channel rather than using two sided tape. See the link to your specific vehicle below:
Jeep Wrangler Vent Visors / Jeep Liberty Vent Visors / Jeep Commander Vent Visors /Jeep Grand Cherokee Vent Visors / Jeep Compass Vent Visors / Jeep Patriot Vent Visors

Another cool new product line that is now available (just in today) are the interior car organizers by Thule Organization Systems, which will help organize the inside of your Jeep or any other car your family may drive. I know that my Jeep needs all the help it can get! These also make great, affordable but high quality gifts.

Wrangler: A new interior is scheduled for 2010. A new powertrain will be offered in 2011.
Liberty: Minor cosmetic and interior changes are planned for 2010. The redesigned Liberty debuts in 2013, based on a Fiat Group platform.
Commander: U.S. production ends late in 2010. The Commander may be assembled outside North America for export markets.
Grand Cherokee: The redesigned Grand Cherokee and next-generation Mercedes-Benz full-size SUVs are linked at the hip. Vehicle development started when Daimler owned Chrysler. Component sharing is expected to continue for several years. The redesigned Grand Cherokee debuts in May 2010.”

Scott Burgess, the Auto Reviewer for The Detroit News recently gave the 2009 Jeep Patriot rave reviews stating that,“it puts the first draft to shame.”
It’s quite capable. My test vehicle, the high-end Limited, was powered on the 2.4-liter inline four-cylinder engine. It pounds out a respectable 172 horsepower and 165-pound-feet of torque. (That’s an upgrade over the base 158 horsepower, 141-pound-feet torque 2-liter engine.)
It buzzes along the highway quite nicely. It’s quieter now that Jeep has installed sound dampening materials on the floor and inside the engine compartment. It’s also retuned the exhaust. It’s not silent in the cabin when you’re going 70 mph, but it’s easy enough to hold a conversation.
The ride is fairly smooth, but still feels more truck-like, which fits a Jeep’s character…
One area Jeep didn’t have to improve was the vehicle’s gas mileage. While there are five different drivetrain configurations, all of the mileage numbers are good — spanning from 20 miles per gallon city/22 mpg highway for the top of the line 4×4 to 23 mpg city/27 mpg highway for a front-wheel drive with a five-speed manual.
While I did not test the 2009 model’s off-road abilities this time, I have driven the Patriot on some extremely tough terrain in the past without any problems. The Freedom II off road package can handle almost everything a person can throw at it.”

Chrysler LLC has reported it’s Jeep Sales Figures for the January 2009 sales period. The Commander undersold by a whooping -71% compared to the same period last year. The Jeep Compass had a -69% percent drop and moved a measly 819 units nationally during this time. Look for it to be dropped in the near future with those kind of sales numbers. The Grand Cherokee and Liberty both had a -60% drop, while the recently popular Patriot saw sales fall -53%. Jeep’s lone positive performer was the Jeep Wrangler who was showing a slight up tick in sales from last year at a 4% sales increase, most likely helped by the slew of rebates out there right now. Overall Jeep sales are down -49% from the same time period last year.

Chrysler has released their sales figures for all of 2008, as well as the particularly bleak December 2008 numbers. Jeep sales fell -48% from December ’08 compared to the same time period in ’07. The Compass and Commander were the real stinkers of the group with sales falling -63% & -62% respectively. The Jeep Wrangler was the least offensive of the bunch with only -22% drop. All other models were -48% or worse.

For all of 2008, Jeep sales dropped -30% from the previous year. Patriot sales are up 38% for the year. The Jeep Liberty & Wrangler were the next “best” performers with only a -27% & -29% sales difference. Grand Cherokee sales fell -39%, while the not-so-fuel-efficient Commander saw it’s sales drop -56% on the year.

Well, Chrysler LLC has announced their sales figures for October 2008. Things aren’t looking very good for Jeep (or any Chrysler model) at the moment. The Jeep Patriot is the one and only positive performer for the year, up 62% but still down -11% for 10/08 as oppossed to 10/07. Jeep Grand Cherokee sales were down -24% in October as oppossed -37% on the year. That may be due to both dropping gas prices and last ditch efforts to grab a lease. Wrangler sales dropped -33%, bring their sales down -30% for the year. The Jeep Liberty is down -40% selling 3,918 units during the time period. The Commander improved to -48% sales difference, bringing them “up” to -54% on the year. The ugly stepchild of the family is still the Compass. This forgotten “Jeep” sold a measly 855 units for the October sales period for a -62% drop in vehicles moved.
These dismal totals bring Jeep sales down 105,017 units sold for a -27% drop in volume moved on the year.
